Auburn Bay: Auburn House & Recreation

The Auburn Bay community is centred around Auburn House, adjacent to a 13-acre park, and the access point to the private beach and 43-acre fresh water lake—all for the use of residents. Auburn House is a 16,000 square foot lodge that is the hub of recreation in the community. Year round there are organized sports, fitness classes, art classes, and social events at the lodge. In the summertime residents can play in the water spray park, swim or fish in the lake, or relax on the private beach. In the wintertime you can skate, pick up a stick and play a game of hockey, or toboggan down the hill.

Auburn Bay has everything for an urban lake lifestyle. It's also conveniently located near Deerfoot Trail and Stoney Trail for access to the rest of the city. The proposed extension of the southeast line of the Calgary LRT system is set to run along Auburn Bay's eastern boundary. The community is also just north of the South Health Campus, which is Calgary's newest and most advanced healthcare center offering state-of-the-art medical services, specialty clinics, wellness programs, and a YMCA Wellness Centre. For shops and services there are plenty of options just minutes away. There are retail and services along 130 Ave SE, at Cranston Market, and McKenzie Towne's High Street.
